Get ready for the next generation of Pokémon in Pokémon Go. Video game sleuths from the group known as the Silph Road uncovered a whole bunch of hidden data added to Pokémon Goin its latest update. 008 Archivesintel suggests that the third generation of Pokémon may be émonandaHalloweeneventarecomingtoPokécoming to the game soon, along with some Halloween content.

The latest Pokémon Godata mine includes sound files for Pokémon from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald(a.k.a. gen III), a new badge labeled gen III, a new Halloween loading page, some Halloween music, and files that imply there may be a Halloween event and Halloween variants of some Pokémon.

Here's the new Pokémon Goloading page, which includes gen III ghost-type Pokémon Banette, Shuppet, Dusclops, and Duskull, among some other Pokémon from earlier generations.

Unfortunately we don't know exactly when the new features will go live, which Pokémon will have Halloween variants, or what the Halloween event actually entails ... but with Oct. 31 just a couple weeks away, we probably won't have to wait long to find out.
